One of our many Top Line Sponsored MMA fighter Luis "KoolWhip" Junior is on the comeback trail.  He is only a few months removed from ACL surgery, an injury he suffered while fighting.  Here is a sneak peak at some of the movement patterns we are using in the first week of his strength and conditioning program at the Top Shop.

Upper Body Accessory Work

Various upper-body accessory movements board presses, chain floor presses, dumbbell incline presses, axle bar close grip incline presses, neutral grip chins, farmers walks, pushups, hanging leg raises, fat v-bar triceps push downs, strict military presses, cannon ball face pulls,  single arm dumbbell rows, land mine rows.     All being performed by yours truly.   ***remember if your coach hasn't been under the bar training hard for a number of years (and still currently training hard), how can they tell you that you need to train hard?    Leave your legacy!  -B

Football, Baseball and Track Contrast Sprint Work

Contrast-Speed Work: Here is a good look at one of the various types of speed training we do at the Top Shop.     The Athletes in the video range from baseball, football, basketball, track and softball players.    What we are doing here is: a 10 yard prowler sled sprint with a loaded 160 pound sled.  a 15 second rest to set up into a "positional sprint" (base stealing position, 40 start position, running back position)  a 10 yard all out sprint start working on using less strides.     Speed training involves manipulation of the human anatomy and solid understanding of each athletes sport.    Thats what we do here at the Top Shop.    See you in...
