This is where most Top Line success stories begin. In fact, I'd venture to say that this is where almost all inspirational stories originate. It starts with a personal low point. There's this fear of failing, fear of commitment, fear of starting.
I can't do this. It's going to be too hard. I have too much on my plate. This is just who I am. I'm stuck.
This negative self-talk sabotages your changes of new beginnings. It halts your progress and holds you back from reaching your potential.
But then, out of nowhere motivation strikes. You watch a movie, read a magazine article, whatever it is, it sparks something deep inside and causes you to take action.
That is exactly how Slimmin Amber Hibben ended up at Top Line Gym. Amber's co-worker just happened to be one of Top Line's longest members dating back all the way to 2010 -- Melanie. Mel told Amber about trying out Top Line and she made the decision to give it a go.
Amber showed up and trained hard for the 3-4 workouts she signed up for. However, her first 3 months of training missed the mark. Amber didn't show up for open gym sessions to increase her training consistency from 3-4 days per week to 6-7 days per week. She wasn't eating properly on a consistent basis. She had a few results but hit a plateau.
Finally after 2 months she committed to my plan for her to work harder and be militant with her nutrition. She needed to go all in. The following few months including holidays like the candy- ridden Halloween, the sweet potato pie-filled Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years didn't stand a chance against her. She made a commitment to be disciplined regardless of the holidays or any other barrier to her goals.
This was the result.
Here is how Amber explains her inspiring story.
"I wasn't always overweight. I started gaining weight in my early 20's because of medication. After yo-yo dieting for several years I came to acceptance with my weight for awhile. When I put on an additional 37lb in 2013 I knew I had to do something. I was afraid of developing diabetes like my mother and heart disease like my father. In February 2014 I got a new co-worker. In four months I watched her lose 2-3 dress sizes. When I asked her what she was doing she told me about Top Line. I didn't think I was going to make it through my first session but the atmosphere and the energy was inspiring. I pushed myself to keep coming back but it still took about two months to really get serious and make a commitment. Now, 12 weeks later I have lost 33 lbs and completely changed my shape. I've gone to franchise gyms and tried many different programs but could never stick with it for long. The atmosphere at Top Line is different, people from all walks of life at different fitness levels in the same place is encouraging in a way I never expected. I may never be a person that enjoys working out, but I definitely enjoy results." -Amber
